Our Story

Utopic Dream was born as an idea that came like a shooting star.

This brand was just a desire for a clothing brand—no name, no slogan, no clarity, no action, just desire, a lot of questions, and a dream that was slowly dying.

I'm Jesus Maldonado, the founder of Utopic Dream, a Puerto Rican who always dreamed of something else for my future. Dreams so big that they did not fit small minds and were doubted by everyone, in a place where everyone settles for average. But I refused to kill all my dreams and live a life I did not like. The first Utopic Dreamer with a burning desire so intense that I wanted to live up to my potential, but I needed to take action for all my dreams to manifest—that is what was missing.

At some point, dreaming was not enough. I decided to take action with all the ideas God gave me. After being in the solar industry on the island for a year, I wanted to separate my personal identity, which I was rebuilding, from my solar salesman identity, because I knew I and my dreams are bigger than the solar industry. And I started my personal brand, documenting my life and my path to the abundant life that I have always dreamed of.

Short time after, I left the solar industry and found myself at a crossroads—uncertain about what was next but keeping my faith unbreakable and trusting God patiently. And patience paid off as a big opportunity to do what I really love, a shooting star, all in the form of a name: "Utopic Dream."

Everything aligned—the name, the concept, and the positive impact I was going to give all dreamers around the world. "Utopic" comes from "Utopia," which is a perfect reality. Utopic Dream is the dream that each individual has of their own perfect reality, where everything is perfect for them, and is a vision that keeps them awake and dreaming day and night, making them Utopic Dreamers. I realized this was not just an idea anymore. It was time to stop waiting and start building.

Utopic Dream expresses the message for all dreamers through clothing, because clothing is a way to express your identity, your feelings, your opinions, and a way to carry a message. The message that it is completely okay to dream things that are not usual in an ordinary society, and the message that dreams come true to all who take action towards them.
